Electrodermal Screening dates back to the 1950’s to German MD Reinhold Voll. He developed the first electronic testing device for finding acupuncture points. He then devoted his life to identifying correlations between disease states and changes in the electrical resistance of the various acupuncture points. Voll focused on the body’s meridian because the meridian energy flow carries information about internal organs and systems. The meridian energy flow aids in the determination of health issues. EDS detects energy imbalances in acupuncture points on the hands by measuring electrical resistance in the skin.
During the screening, the patient holds 2 cylindrical grounding rods in their hands that allow the machine to read the body’s energy signatures. A tiny electrical current, that is not felt by the patient, is sent through the circuit providing a reading between 0 and 100 to be made. These numbers aid in determining where there is potentially an underlying issue. This device has the ability to detect illnesses such as nutritional deficiencies, organ weakness, allergies, food intolerances and more. In addition to testing for imbalances, EDS aids in the determination of what nutritional and/or homeopathic remedies help to balance the body systems.
