Hello all!

For those who don’t know me yet, my name is Rachael Essen and I just joined the Whole Life Clinic team in May. I studied Nutritional Therapy through the Nutritional Therapy Association, and graduated in 2016. I have also been trained by Dr. Essen to use the TrueRife, Ondamed, and FSM machines. And yes, I am Dr. Essen’s daughter, so natural medicine and biofeedback machines have been in my life as long as I can remember.

I recently went on the Repairvite & Clearvite program from Apex Energetics so that I could know what it feels like before and after the program to share with all of you! The Repairvite product is a powder that you would use in a shake (so break out the shaker bottles!) and it’s purpose is to heal your gut lining. The program lasts for 30 days and while on it you also have to follow an allergy elimination diet. So no grains (including grains most would consider gluten free, like rice), no nuts or seeds, no sweeteners ( even honey), no high glycemic fruits (like bananas and pineapple), etc. It sounds really difficult, and I won’t lie, it’s a hard adjustment at first, but after you get in the groove of it, it’s totally worth it. My environmental allergies started to clear up after about 2 weeks in, I wasn’t having any “digestive distress” issues anymore after a week or so, I didn’t feel so bloated and full-feeling all the time after about 2 weeks; I felt great. The comprehensive Repairvite program also includes taking GI Synergy, which kills off bad bugs in your digestive system, and Strengtia, which is a probiotic to put good bugs in.

After the month on Repairvite it was time to start the Clearvite part of the program. It is also a powder you put in a shake and it’s purpose is a liver detox. It is a two or three week program depending on what your health professional recommends, and it increases how many shakes you take throughout the program. I did the two week program, so I’ll put it in that context. For days 1 and 2 you take 1 shake in the morning, days 3 and 4 you take one shake in the morning and one in the evening, days 5 through 10 you take shakes for all your meals, days 11 and 12 go back down to 2 shakes a day, and days 13 and 14 go back down to 1. It also has a restrictive diet to follow, you are allowed to have non gluten grains like rice and quinoa again, no dairy or eggs, no pork or beef, and for days 5 through 10 of the two week program you have to follow a vegan diet ( I know, I know; but it’s only 5 days). The first few days I didn’t notice any major changes, but once I got to days 5 through 10 i really started noticing detox symptoms. I had a couple days where I felt a little feverish and a bladder infection type feeling, and I needed to go to the bathroom a lot. But symptoms like these are expected while detoxing because it’s just your body trying to dump all the stuff that the product is detoxing. But I felt more energized, I was sleeping a lot better than I had been, and I just felt really positive about my health overall.

So, even though sticking to the diet is definitely a challenge, it’s something to really consider for your health, and overall quality of life. And a month and a half of hard work really paid off.

We’ll see you at the clinic, and thank you for taking the time to read my experience.
